From the moment Lady Gaga’s “Telephone” danced through the radio airwaves, her millions of monsters worldwide have been eagerly and anxiously waiting for the music video debut of the hit single. The wait is finally over Thursday, March 11 when E! News exclusively premieres the epic video, which features pop superstar Beyoncé, during the show’s 11:30 PM broadcast. “Telephone” is the second single from Lady Gaga’s platinum album The Fame Monster (Streamline/Konlive/Cherrytree/Interscope).
The video will also make its online debut at midnight that evening on VEVO.com and LadyGaga.com so fans can view it again right away. VEVO will also offer the ability to watch the video with lyrics. After the video premieres on E! News, this enchanting artist will dissect the inspiration behind “Telephone” and explain how she has been able to out-do herself yet again exclusively to Ryan Seacrest.
“What I like about it is it’s a real true pop event,” Lady Gaga said about the “Telephone” video in a February interview with KIIS-FM and E!’s Ryan Seacrest. “When I was younger I was always excited when there was a big giant event happening in pop music and that’s what I wanted this to be.”
Gritty, erotic and wildly fierce, this nine-minute, visually stunning, cinematic masterpiece features the inimitable Beyoncé and is helmed by famed music video director Jonas Akerlund. Rich with Gaga’s unique dance stylings, iconic costume design and unworldly hair and make-up, this is far from your typical music video.
Since breaking out onto the music scene in 2008 with her Grammy Award-winning debut album, The Fame, Lady Gaga has consistently shocked and inspired. The Fame spawned four No. 1 singles “Just Dance,” “Poker Face,” “LoveGame,” and “Paparazzi,” making her the first artist in Billboard history to accomplish that feat on a debut album.
Released on November 23, 2009, The Fame Monster is the follow-up to The Fame, and already has produced a fifth No. 1 single for Gaga with “Bad Romance.” Combined, The Fame and The Fame Monster have sold 10 million albums worldwide, while Lady Gaga’s five singles have sold more than 17 million copies total. The video for “Bad Romance” has racked up more than 140 million online views.
Lady Gaga has said that the video for “Telephone” picks up where “Paparazzi” left off but will surpass its predecessor. In the new video, Gaga’s on-screen chemistry with Beyoncé transforms the song from a popular dance floor gem to a raw and explosive piece of art to be reckoned with. It is the second time the two entertainers have collaborated for a visual adventure, first on Beyonce’’s “Video Phone” and now on Lady Gaga’s “Telephone.”
Beyoncé, who enjoyed a string of #1 hits on the dance charts in 2009, including “Diva,” “Halo,” “Sweet Dreams,” which became her eleventh #1 single and the Song of the Year at the 2010 Grammys, “Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It),” was thrilled to re-team up with Lady Gaga. “It was fun to work with Gaga again. This video was a unique opportunity to do something we think will surprise our fans in a creative, edgy way not always seen.”
E!’s rich history of providing its audience with the latest breaking news in entertainment and pop culture makes it the perfect forum for this incredible, jaw-dropping premiere.

On Friday, Beyoncé spoke in downtown Brooklyn, New York, at the Phoenix House, a nonprofit recovery center for drug and alcohol addiction, to unveil a project she and her mother, Tina, have dreamed of and worked on for years: the Beyoncé Cosmetology Center.
According to the press release, the program is “a seven-month cosmetology training course for adult men and women.” L’Oréal has donated all the products to be used at the center, and their spokeswoman Beyoncé, along with her mother, have pledged to donate $100,000 annually.
After brief remarks by New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg and Tina Knowles, among others, Beyoncé graciously took to the podium to explain both her ties to the house — she first visited in 2007 as part of research for her role as Etta James in “Cadillac Records” — and her hopes for the program. “Telephone” rises #5-#3 on The U.S. Billboard Pop Songs chart, scoring Lady GaGa her 6th Top 3 on the chart that rank songs based on spins received from radio stations that fit the pop genre format according to Nielsen BDS tracking system, which is similar to Mediabase Top 40.
Lady GaGa just becomes the third artist in the history of the Billboard pop chart to have 2 entries in the Top 3 of the chart simultaneously, as she joins two other singers who managed to do the same, Ashanti in 2002 with “Foolish” and “What’s Luv?” and Mariah Carey in 1995 with “One Sweet Day” and “Fantasy” curiously all the three had featuring songs as they did the feat, Ashanti feat. Fat Joe for “What’s Luv?” and Mariah with Boyz II Men for “One Sweet Day”.
“Telephone” with Beyoncé comes in at #3 with “Bad Romance” right above it at #2. If the song manages to rise to #1, It will be Lady GaGa’s 6th single in a row to top the chart, tying Mariah Carey for the most #1s on the Pop chart in it’s history, not only her, Beyoncé will also be tied, since she also have 5 #1s on the chart. Other artists also with 5 include Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake and Avril Lavigne.

Superstar and cultural icon Beyonce, ended her 2009 “I AM…” World Tour with a sensational live concert in the Caribbean on the island of Trinidad on February 18, 2010. The “I AM…” World Tour launched in Edmondton, Canada on March 29, 2009 and spanned across Europe including stops in Austria, Spain and The United Kingdom. Beyonce’s first of four sold-out shows at London’s 20,000-seat O2 Arena, Europe’s largest in-door concert venue, inspired the Telegraph.co.uk to headline its review: “Beyonce Knowles raised the bar for what can be done in an arena show at the O2.” The North American leg of the “I AM…” World Tour kicked off in New York’s famed Madison Square Garden on June 21, 2009 and came to a close with a sold-out four-night residency at Encore at Wynn Las Vegas on August 2. During this stint, the powerhouse filmed her “I AM…YOURS An Intimate Performance At Wynn Las Vegas” DVD, which later went on to become the number one music DVD in the country. The ABC Television Network aired an edited version of the DVD as a Thanksgiving Night one-hour special. During the North American leg of the “I AM…” World Tour, Beyonce co-sponsored food drives as part of a Show Your Helping Hand™ initiative, a national hunger relief campaign created by General Mills’ Hamburger Helper® in partnership with Beyonce and her Survivor Foundation. The campaign goal was to help Feeding America deliver more than 3.5 million meals to local food banks.
